Got Printing questions?

You've come to the right place!  The courteous and knowledgeable SprintPrint staff is always ready and willing to help!

1. What is camera ready copy?

Artwork or copy brought to us ready to put on the press is camera ready. It should be black print on white paper, and, if it will be printed in different colors of ink, we need each on a separate piece of paper in black only. This allows us to make each plate for each ink color. There should be no typesetting required.

2. How long does it take to get my printing?

We usually require 5 to 7 working days on new printing jobs that require composition, but on reprints we will get it back to you sooner. If it is brought in camera ready, we can get this to you faster. We will always work with you to meet your deadline.

3. What is the largest size SprintPrint can print for me?

The largest sheet size we can print on is 18" x 25 1/4". The largest image area on this sheet is 17 3/4" x 25 1/4".

4. Can someone help me with the design of my business cards, letterhead and envelopes?

The staff at SprintPrint is always willing and able to help you. We have many samples of paper that can give you or your company the professional look you desire. Also, we can show you the best ink colors on the stock you specify. SprintPrint also has competent typographers that know design and what works best.

5. Does SprintPrint do copies as well as printing? Sometimes I need something really fast but I don't need a large quantity.

SprintPrint has the capability to do your copying and have it ready sometimes as you wait, that same day or next day. We have copied all sorts of manuals, booklets, programs, even business cards for our clients. We have three large copiers, 2 color copiers and a risograph that is capable of doing copies in red, green, blue, purple or black.

6. I can't always get out of my office when I need my printing. Do you have salespeople who can call on me at my business and help me with my needs?

SprintPrint has two capable, talented salespeople on staff, and they are more than eager to take care of any situation that comes their way. In fact, here at SprintPrint we don't have any problems, only opportunities. Just click on the button to your left for a salesperson to call you.

Tips and Tricks of the Trade

1. Before preparing your artwork, wash your hands and clean the table you are working on. Your artwork needs to be as clean as possible in order for us to give you a good product.

2. Do not permanently adhere your artwork or copy. Use temporary adhesive that will allow for re- positioning of all the parts of the paste-up.

3. Do not use tape on your artwork. Any type or artwork that is underneath the tape will photograph very light on the printing plate. If you must use tape, keep it around the edges of the artwork and be sure that it does not go over any of the artwork or type.

4. We prefer camera-ready copy to be black on white paper. It it difficult to reproduce copy that is on a colored paper, and if the type or artwork is in a colored ink on the original, it may not reproduce well.

5. Protect your artwork in an envelope or between pieces of paper. Light and heat can cause your camera-ready copy to fade or pieces to pop off.

6. Be sure all fonts are downloaded onto your disk, if you are providing one. We may not have all the fonts you have used on your disk.

7. When you are given a proof on your job, please look over it carefully. Make sure everything is spelled correctly and in the order you require. Once you have proofed the copy and have signed an approval, it is ready for printing. It is best to take a little extra time to be positive the copy is as you desire before it is printed.

8. To send us a file, format the file in a JPEG file as an attachment. If special fonts are used, copy the fonts and their briefcases and send as an attachment. (Works only on Mac fonts.)
